Spokes Offers Leveraging AI for Impactful Grant Proposals to Nonprofit Community April 18

Training Will Educate Attendees on Integrating AI in Grant Writing

for Increased Efficiency and Success in Securing Funding

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (March 26, 2024) Spokes, an organization providing resources to support and empower the nonprofit community, will offer a timely new training class, Leveraging AI for Impactful Grant Proposals, on April 18, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The class will be held at People’s Self-Help Housing at 1060 Kendall Road in San Luis Obispo.

Designed for executive directors, development directors or anyone involved in nonprofit grant writing, Leveraging AI for Impactful Grant Proposals will introduce participants to the basics of AI, its applications in grant writing, and the practical knowledge necessary to confidently integrate it into future processes for increased success in securing funding.

In addition to providing hands-on experience with AI tools for research, drafting and refining proposals, the class will cover ethical decisions, data privacy and security as it relates to the use of these tools for grant writing.

The class will be presented by Dennis Baker, chief executive officer of DM Baker Media, and consultant to numerous established corporations, nonprofits, and high-profile individuals. As a development specialist, Baker has helped raise millions of dollars for nonprofits across multiple service sectors, including museums, hospitals, universities, and international aid organizations.

"Artificial intelligence stands as a transformative resource for nonprofits aiming to remain competitive and streamline their operations,” said Baker. “When leveraged judiciously, AI can significantly reduce the burden of administrative tasks, freeing organizations to concentrate on their core mission and enhance the quality of service for their clients.”

Cost is $20 for Spokes members ($10 for each additional attendee from member organization) and $35 for nonmembers.
