Over the years one thing remains the same, the Mission. PRAA is a non-profit 501c3 that serves the community to raise awareness and appreciation of art through education, community outreach and the display and promotion of member's artworks. Membership is open to artists and art lovers of all levels. We believe art is for everyone and therefore everyone is welcome! PRAA strives to maintain an atmosphere of camaraderie and accessibility. Members enjoy a wide variety of opportunities through the organization.
Monthly art exhibitions allow the artwork to change on a regular basis. 'Art After Dark', the first saturday of the month provides an opportunity to mix and mingle with the artists. The reception becomes a party like atmosphere with food, wine and fun. Awards and recognition with jurors present to give awards and insight into their path to choosing the monthly winners begins at 5pm on the first saturday of the month. It is the perfect opportunity to get a jump on the festive celebrations and enjoy the art and connection.
If acts of service are your area of interest, this is the organization to join. PRAA collaborates with Veteran organizations to provide wonderful art experiences for veterans and their families. We work with Veterans Outreach regularly. PRAA was the driving force behind the 2018 Veterans Voices art exhibition and initiative. Pairing artists and veterans, providing mentorship, offering creative journaling and expressive arts classes free of charge to our veterans. It's time to give back and become a part of history, join today!
