Event Description:

Money Matters: Protecting Your Hard Earned Assets will be the topic at our May luncheon. Presented by Carolyn White, a 40 year veteran of the financial services industry, we will come away understanding the differences and similarities between traditional banks and credit unions and how women impact the industry. And in light of the recent Silicon Valley Bank collapse, we will also learn how our money is protected by agencies such as the FDIC and the NCUA.

Our Business Spotlight: The Mobile Oil Changers

For 30 years Lisa Marrone put out fires and saved lives one at a time in the fire department, advancing from Firefighter to Engineer to Captain to Battalion Chief. In 2006 Lisa read Rich Dad Poor Dad and realized she could leverage her talents and skills by starting a for-profit business to fund charitable non-profits. She retired in 2008 and started The Mobile Oil Changers in 2011.
