Matt Thompson 
Wastewater Resources Manager for the City of Paso Robles
 
Matt Thompson is a professional civil and environmental engineer. As an experienced utility manager and award-winning project manager, he specializes in water sustainability projects, including green streets, wastewater treatment, water recycling, and energy and nutrient recovery. Matt is dedicated to further improving water management in California and we are thrilled to have him join us at Wake Up Paso. 
 
Lisa Marrone 
Distinguished Toastmaster & Owner of The Mobile Oil Changers
 
For 30 years Lisa Marrone put out fires and saved lives one at a time in the fire department, advancing from Firefighter to Engineer to Captain to Battalion Chief. She retired in 2008 and opened The Mobile Oil Changers in 2011. An accomplished public speaker, Lisa serves as a D1 Director in District 33 of Toastmasters International and earned her Distinguished Toastmaster Award in 2018. 
 
Horace Morana
SCORE Chapter Chair
 
Horace Morana is the chair and volunteer leader at SCORE. His primary position is to focus all the passion, energy, and enthusiasm of their chapter members into a successful organization so SCORE can make a lasting impact in San Luis Obispo County and the Santa Maria Valley. Morana previously worked as a sales and marketing professional working at Fortune 500 companies such as Tektronix, Digital Equipment Corporation, and Intel.
 
Joe Whitaker
SCORE Marketing Director
 
Joe Whitaker is a retired Marketing executive. In his career, he ran Marketing for Mattel Toys, Columbia Pictures and Lorimar Productions. He also acted as an independent marketing consultant for children's product and entertainment firms. Joe is a long time SLO SCORE member and also sits on the Board of the Diversity Coalition San Luis Obispo County.

Jack's Helping Hand
Providing community programs that meet the unique challenges of children with cancer or special needs under the age of 21.
 
Jack’s Helping Hand assists more than 250 individuals each month in San Luis Obispo County. Jack's Helping Hand was founded by Paul and Bridget Ready in memory of their son Jack, whose three-year struggle with a rare form of brain cancer ended in 2004.
