Evening of Enrichment

Media Release A small school with big plans. PASO ROBLES, California - March, 2018 - Cappy Culver Elementary serves residents of the Heritage Ranch and Oak Shores communities. Located twenty minutes NW of Paso Robles at Lake Nacimiento and part of the San Miguel Joint Union School District, this school serves over 200 students, from TK (Transitional Kindergarten) through 8th grade. While these students are enjoying a near-private school education inside the classroom, their outdoor experience is suffering due to a lack of grass, an unlevel playing field riddled with squirrel holes, and picnic tables that are too few and too old. Teachers, parents, and administrators are taking action to rectify this situation. For the last two years, they have held a Gala event in the spring to raise money to equip and maintain a small track, for student and community use, and add some general quality items such as shade structures and picnic tables for the students to enjoy outdoors. In addition to the outdoor equipment some of the funds raised will go to support school based enrichment opportunities such as Robotics, Science based field trips and the industrial and performing arts. Our goal this year is to raise $10,000 to fund these projects! Cappy Culver Elementary will again this spring, hold their “Evening of Enrichment” at the Paso Robles Inn. This year’s event will be held on April 14th and will include live music, both silent and live auctions, and a wonderful meal, as only the Paso Inn can provide!
