The annual concert in Mission San Luis Obispo opens with some beautifully resonant pieces by Italian composer Gabrieli for a brass ensemble comprised of Festival Mozaic artists and local musicians. Following this is Russian composer Mikhail Glinka’s septet for winds and strings and Ravel’s Introduction and Allegro, which showcases the harp. Closing the concert is Mozart’s Divertimento from 1772, the same year our Mission was established. FREE Pre-Concert Lecture at 6:30 PM with Dr. Alyson McLamore.
